TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Sizes found on the list are determined as follows:
Spiders - straight legspan, comfortably outstretched, so some spiders may actually measure than listed when stretching legs flat against a surface
Scorpions - body and tail, comfortably outstretched
Amblypygi - sidewise legspan, comfortably outstretched
Centipedes - body and legs
Mantids - body
Snakes and lizards - approximate full length, including tail, often a bit longer than listed, especially for snakes
Turtles and tortoises - straight carapace length
All others - if you are not sure, just ask!
"If it doesn't feed, it doesn't fly" policy is in effect!
Ordering is best done through email. If you prefer to phone in, text or Facebook message your order, please also send us an email (text and Facebook messages can be very difficult to find on packing day!). Once payment is received, we will send a confirmation email of your order to you.
Holds may be placed up to 2 weeks in advance, with a 20% non-refundable deposit. Soft holds (24 hours) are placed at no cost for customers sending payments.
All shipped orders must be paid in full a minimum of one full day prior to shipping. Payments received less than 24 in advance may bump orders to the next shipping day.
All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars and all taxes are included (international orders may incur customs fees or taxes, but never from us!).
Mail shipment quotes include a 10$ box charge and all taxes. This charge includes a styrofoam insulated box and heat packs, if necessary. If you wish to ship without styrofoam insulation, please let us know when requesting a quote. Please be aware that shipping without insulation voids guarantee. Air cargo shipping quotes include a free styrofoam cooler and box as well as heat packs. These boxes are reused and are generally far larger than necessary, which allows for safer travel of the animals and better environmental practices, at no extra cost! :)
Payment accepted by cash, e-transfer (Interac email money transfer), MoneyGram, wire transfer, bank draft, Western Union, money order or cheque (must clear prior to shipment, international cheques are not accepted). Please be sure to verify your order before sending payment. Refunds due to customer errors will be issued less the costs of receiving/sending the payments involved. Other forms of payment may also be available for international orders - please inquire for details.
Live arrival guarantee applies to all shipments via Air Cargo, all deliveries and all domestic shipments via Priority Post or XpressPost. International shipments via XpressPost may also be eligble for live arrival guarantee, but please confirm prior to placing your order. For all mail shipments, receiver must be present to receive the parcel in order for guarantee to apply. Air cargo shipments must be picked up within 6 hours of flight landing, unless agreed upon and confirmed via email prior to shipping.
In the event of a DOA, claims must be made within 24 hours (preferably by phone or text) and photo(s) or DOA animals will be required as proof. All replacements will be shipped at receiver's expense.
Shipping day for postal shipments is Monday. In the event the Monday is a holiday, shipments will go out the following week or, in some cases, the following day. We reserve the right to determine shipping suitability due to weather conditions, holidays or exceptional circumstances as we see fit. If we foresee an issue, we will most certainly let you know! Shipping days for air cargo will be determined on a per-order basis at time of ordering, but are most typically Saturdays.
Many reptiles and amphibians are not eligible for shipping by mail, so please inquire for more details if you are ordering these animals.
If you don't see it on our list, please do not hesitate to ask! We often have a few offerings not on the list or may be able to order it for you!

Note to all importers: It is your responsibility to know the import laws and requirements of your own country! Please verify that all requirements are met by the appropriate governing bodies before arranging a shipment! We will not be held responsible for any shipments seized or delayed by customs.
